When I go to do my drive up banking and I deal with the teller and send my money and checks in that little bottle and sent it through the tube system, I’ve always wondered how it works! I don’t know if the tube is a gradual turn or if the bottle bends or what, but I’ve always wanted to know. I know it’s kinda stupid, but I’m sorry I just really want to know! Thanks!

It uses compressed air to blow the tube to the teller, then when she’s ready to send it back, the direction of the blow is changed and the tube is blown back to you.
That’s why you’ll hear a loud “Thud” as the tube hits the bumper when it returns to you.
Its a little like what you see in a straw. If you have some solid object blocking the straw, you could blow to get it out. Well, that’s how it works.
