Does CapitalOne have a good credit card for people with bad credit?
I am interested in getting a credit card. I haven’t had a credit card in years, and I have made a few late payments on other bills, so I think that my credit is probably considered fair. I am trying to rebuild my credit, and I think that getting a credit card (and paying it on time every month) is the way to go. Does CapitalOne have the best credit card for folks with fair to poor credit? Is there a guaranteed approval? If CapitalOne isn’t the best, then can you recommend a good card?

Capital One has a card that you deposit money and they give you a card usually double the amount and you pay payments like a regular card as you charge on it.But you can check your credit at free credit check .com and maybe you can get a regular card.

Orchard Bank seems to be the consensus among people at Yahoo Answers. And I agree. They offer very competitive unsecured offers to help build / improve your credit. You can find the Orchard Bank Platinum (and other offers) for poor / no credit here:
Capital One has several offers available for “Credit That Needs Improvement”. But they’re very strict about marketing these offers as cards for ‘bad credit’. So take a look at the Capital One page (on the site above) if you’d like to view them…
Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

I’ve heard bad things about Capital One. I would try to stay away from them. I would recommend looking into the Orchard bank card.
