I’m a college student who got a credit card a little less than a year ago. I spend a lot (around $700 a month) and always pay back the total in full before the due date. My bank has increased my credit line three times since because of my good credit.

So are there any additional advantages to having a good credit score than easily getting approved for credit cards and getting large credit lines? Does it also project to any type of loans (i.e. it is easier to get approved for a car loan with a lower interest rate) or something?

I tried enrolling in online banking with capital one and it keeps telling me my information is wrong. I use the credit card number as the account number, and i enter the last 4 digits of my social security.
Thanks I’ll wait for my first statement and then try to enroll. And I hope your kidding when you ask me to give my information cause thats not happening

I consolidated two credit cards onto one new credit card that offered 6 months 0% APR and then a lower APR after those months were up than what the charges were on before. I have been making monthly payments and have made good dent in the debt, but now are receiving better balance transfer offers. Should I transfer the balance again, even though it has been just over the 6 months? Will is hurt my credit, which is pretty good right now?

I working at home because I am disable, the only way I make money is building a website to earn money and all my money go to the bank, i do not get paystub but cash because it been deposit in the bank, i want to get an credit card but I have bad credit, i will like to know how you build an credit if you cant get an credit card, i want one for orders and things of that nature! I’m trying to find the best mortgage rate to buy a house, therefore there are several mortgage companies running my credit. How in the world am I supposed to shop for a good rate if every inquiry damages my score? Isn’t that the dumbest thing?

I know that applying for a new card will reduce my FICO, and that increasing credit limits (while keeping debt amounts constant) will increase my score – but this would not be the case if requesting the increase in credit limit is treated as a new credit card application?

I just recently paid off all my past credit card debt. I paid off one student loan (expect the interest) and i have one student loan still active. I noticed my credit score went up, but i am still being denied. How long does it take to completely clear off my debt and how soon should i apply for credit so i can “rebuild” my credit. And do bad credit ever go away?
